Zusto is a unique and innovative sugar substitute which is made from naturally derived substances, namely dietary fibres of corn and chicory. These fibres deliver the sweet taste and structure of traditional sugar. Zusto can replace sugar on a 1 to 1 weight basis, so this means that the structure, texture and taste of the original product does not alter. Also, it does not have an after taste sensation. Zusto has 75% less calories than normal sugar. 100g sugar = 400 kcal vs 100g Zusto = 98 kcal. Zusto is ideal for diabetic patients as it has a low glycaemic index of 22. The fibres in Zusto naturally lower blood sugar levels. The corn and chicory fibres in Zusto have an additional prebiotic effect on the human intestinal flora. This can lead to a healthier digestive system.     Excellent sugar replacementI bought this product because I needed to drastically cut down on sugar for health reasons and Zusto is the perfect replacement. I don’t like the after taste of sweeteners and Zusto has a much more palleable after taste.

    Much better than usual sweetnersThis tastes much nicer than usual sweeteners, a nice subtle sweetness rather than the usual artifical tasting sweetness in most sweeteners. I don’t think I’ll go back now.

    taste ok no after tastepleasantly surprised, it tastes ok and no after taste, the best sweetener i have tried so far,the only thing i dont like is the price, at 10 pounds a bag its expensive . If you are diabetic just dont have a choice will have to pay for it.

    YumUsed this sweetner for some time and I love it. I now use it in all my baking – you will find your balance as you cook with it as you do not have to use as much as normal sugar and it does not leaves not leave a horrid aftertaste aftertaste (for me – everyone’s palate is different). Packet says does not mix well with butter but if you are heating it, it works fine. I have made toffee, lemon curd, cakes and cookies and they all turn out great.

    Great for bakingAs far as I am concerned this sugar substitute is the best. Makes great bakes which retain their moisture due to the ingredients in this product – ideal for sponge bakes and scones. Very fine and easy to incorporate into recipes. Not mega sweet so you don’t need to use loads. No aftertaste as far as I can tell. A really nice easy use ingredient which doesn’t disappoint.
